OCMC Calendar 2007/8

The objective of the Club is to bring members together to play and listen to music of all kinds. Please contact any Organiser if you would like to perform. If you wish to discuss performing in general, or need help in preparing something unusual, you should get in touch with me, one of the concert organisers, the co-ordinators or Music Secretary, or any Committee member.

The ‘open concert’ is made up of shortish items (say 10 minutes) submitted to the Music Secretary, preferably by April. Do not miss this chance to offer an item for inclusion.

There is an exciting programme this year with all the usual features and more, opening with a concert by new members and including two 'wind play' days as the first of these was so successful. The season will end with an orchestral workshop in conjunction with Pro Corda, which Sir Neville Marriner has kindly agreed to conduct.

Wednesday concerts are normally at 8pm in the Haldane Room and Saturday concerts, with the exception of the opera, at 5.30pm in the Housman Room at University College, Gower Street.
For the opera, wind play days, concerto workshop, wind orchestra and possibly the orchestral workshop, please confirm venues and times from the individual programmes.
