Concert Calendar, 2009/10

This calendar covers the period from September 2009 to July 2010

As usual our concert calendar runs from September to July. What is unusual this time is that there will be no AGM concert in the spring. This is because the next AGM will take place in the autumn, as part of the 2010-11 season. The spring orchestral concert will be another Concerto Workshop (March 13th), and we would like to invite all budding soloists please consider putting themselves forward to play.

We are delighted to announce that our president Sir Neville Marriner has agreed to come and conduct another orchestral workshop. This will be on July 17th 2010, and we hope to be joined by students and alumni of Pro Corda, the international chamber music academy.

We are also delighted to announce that there will be a joint concert with the UCL Chamber Music Club on October 14th.

On November 14th we will perform the oratorio Saul by Handel at the new venue of St. Peter’s Church, Belsize Park.

Other highlights are the Opera Workshop (March 27th) and a Celebration Concert (May 29th) for Livia Gollancz and Sheila Shuttleworth, who have a combined membership of almost 100 years.
