The 2007 AGM will be held on Saturday April 28th at 5.30 p.m. in the Housman Room, University College, Gower Street WC1. As on previous occasions, the AGM will be followed by a short concert finishing with an informal party to which all are invited.

There are no formal motions from the Committee but a number of issues for
informal discussion (see below). If you have any motions or proposals for the
AGM, please notify the Chairman or Secretary, preferably in advance of the
meeting

Subjects for informal discussion
§ Proposed termination of the Gala Concert
§ Need for Concert Organisers for orchestral events to have assistance in managing the issue and return of printed music parts
§ In certain instruments, Club membership is now at or near a practical maximum, in terms of available opportunities for performance. It may in future be necessary for the Committee to exercise its power of discretion (under Rule V) over the acceptance of further membership applications in such categories. (Rule V: ‘The election of all members shall be vested in the Committee’)
Election of 12 Committee Members
Would you like to serve on the Committee? Most members of the present Committee have held office for several years. A number of them would like to step down to make way for successors.
There are usually 6 Committee meetings per year. Individual officers are not elected at the AGM. Jobs are distributed at the first meeting of the new Committee.
