What we offer

As a member of OCMC you will join a pool of talented amateur and professional musicians. There is no need to have any connection with the universities of Oxford and Cambridge. Opportunities will be opened to perform chamber music, participate in ensembles and orchestral works or sing in operas, vocal ensembles or as a soloist. The emphasis is on achieving as high a standard as possible, making contacts and exploring new repertoire. You may wish to hone your performing skills, find like-minded musicians and singers to play with, or for those who just enjoy listening, we welcome non-performing members too. Concerts are organised by club members and take place in London. There are at least two a month and may be themed or open to members' own choice of music.

The first steps

Before you apply for membership we suggest you come to one or two of our concerts to see whether the Club is right for you. The Concerts section of the website lists upcoming concerts and gives a flavour of the breadth of music performed in the past. If you intend coming to a concert, please contact the Membership Secretary or Music Secretary so that we can arrange for someone to welcome you.

Applying for membership

If you can offer OCMC enthusiasm, flexibility and a willingness to aim high, whether accustomed to performance or not, please contact our for an application form, subscription details and further information. Our membership rates are given here. We currently offer membership to all categories but we expect pianists to be prepared to play in chamber ensembles and accompany singers.

The Directory is confidential and only accessible by members. When applying for membership please inform the Membership Secretary if there are any contact details you do not wish to be disclosed. Our privacy policy explains how we use your data.

We look forward to welcoming you as a member of OCMC.
